Sahar Khodayari, also known as Blue Girl, was an Iranian woman known for setting herself on fire in front of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Tehran on 2 September 2019. She was protesting a possible sentence of six months in prison for having tried to enter a public stadium to watch a football game, against the national ban against women at such events. She died a week later of her injuries. Khodayari's self-immolation has generated much debate in Iran about the government's restrictions on women.

Edward Story was an English priest, Bishop of Carlisle, 1468–1477, and Bishop of Chichester, 1477–1503.

John III Potho of Pothenstein was Bishop of Bishopric of Münster from 1379 to 1382. He was then officially appointed Bishop of Schwerin, however, he was never able to actually exercise power there.

Johannes Pfefferkorn was a German Catholic theologian and writer who converted from Judaism. Pfefferkorn actively preached against the Jews and attempted to destroy copies of the Talmud, and engaged in a long running pamphleteering battle with humanist Johann Reuchlin.
