Etsuko Toganoo is a retired Japanese badminton player noted for her consistency and impassive demeanor, who won numerous international titles during the 1970s. Along with her contemporaries Hiroe Yuki (Niinuma) and Noriko Takagi (Nakayama), she is one of three Japanese women to have won both singles (1970) and doubles at the prestigious All-England Championships. These three helped Japan to dominate the Uber Cup competition from the mid-1960s to the early 1980s. In 1977 Mrs. Toganoo won the women's doubles with Emiko Ueno at the first IBF World Championships.

Lilly Stoephasius is a German skateboarder. She is a three-time German Champion in women's park skateboarding and represented Germany in the inaugural women's park event at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Elizabeth Fulhame was an early chemist who invented the concept of catalysis and discovered photoreduction. She describes catalysis as a process at length in her 1794 book An Essay On Combustion with a View to a New Art of Dying and Painting, wherein the Phlogistic and Antiphlogistic Hypotheses are Proved Erroneous. The book relates in painstaking detail her experiments with oxidation-reduction reactions, and the conclusions she draws regarding Phlogiston theory, in which she disagrees with both the Phlogistians and Antiphlogistians.
