Nomi Munekatsu (1527–1592) was a Japanese samurai of the Sengoku through Azuchi-Momoyama periods who served as a retainer to the Mōri clan and directly as Kobayakawa Takakage's retainer. He helped bring the waterborne Murakami family into the Môri's camp during the campaign that culminated in the Battle of Miyajima. He fought in numerous battles between 1587 and 1588.

Quintus Caecilius Metellus Nepos was a son of Quintus Caecilius Metellus Nepos. He was a tribune of the plebs in 62 BC, a praetor in 60 BC, a consul in 57 BC and the governor of Hispania Citerior in 56 BC.

Wang Jinghong was a Ming dynasty Chinese mariner, explorer, diplomat and fleet admiral, who was deputy to Zheng He on his treasure voyages to Southeast Asia, South Asia, and East Africa, from 1405 to 1433. He led an eighth voyage to Sumatra but is said to have died in a shipwreck on the way. He was buried at Semarang in Java aged 78.

Abu Osama al-Muhajer ; was the leader of the ISIL-YP; On 25 June 2019, Saudi special forces announced that they captured Abu Osama al-Muhajer, on 3 June along with other members including the chief financial officer of the organization. The United States Central Command announced in 2023 that that they carried out an airstrike in Eastern Syria, killing Abu Osama Al-Muhajir.
