Rubén Sobrino Pozuelo is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a forward for La Liga club Cádiz, on loan from Valencia.

Qiu Shaoyun was born in a small village named Qiūjiāgōu (邱家沟) in Guānjiàn township (关溅乡) of Tongliang county, Sichuan province. He joined the People's Liberation Army in 1949 and earned recognition in the campaigns that were waged to exterminate bandits. Early 1951, Qiu signed up with the People's Volunteer Army taking part in the Korean War. In October 1952, Qiu died as a martyr in the Korean War, and is considered by the Chinese government to be a war hero. In the struggle for Hill 391, Qiu and his squad mates crawled closer to the enemy position, using hay and twigs as natural camouflage. The UN troops used incendiary bombs, dropped by airplanes, to try and smoke out the Chinese units. It is claimed Qiu got trapped in the ensuing brush fire and in order to not betray the 500 other Chinese soldiers taking part in the assault, he did not move and burned to death.

Jess Lee Kar Wei, is a finalist and grand winner of the popular televised singing competition One Million Star in Taiwan. She is the first Malaysian to win in the competition and broke the record of scoring the highest mark (30) four times consecutively in the final round. She currently resides in Taiwan and has attended the National Taiwan University as an exchange student. In September 2011, Lee's first album, Thank You My Love (感謝愛人), was debuted under the label Warner Music Taiwan.

Mihrigul Tursun or Mehrigul Tursun, is a former Uyghur detainee in one of the re-education camps in Xinjiang, China. Tursun said that she was taken into custody several times, including at one of a network of political "re-education camps" and that one of her sons died under mysterious circumstances while she was in the custody of Chinese authorities in 2015. Hua Chunying of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China denied Tursun's allegations and gave the Ministry's own account of events.
