He received his bachelor's degree from National Cheng Kung University (Tainan) and his master's from Princeton University in the US. He directed the design of Taipei 101, the world's tallest skyscraper at the time of completion, in 2004.

Danny Bawa Chrisnanta is a Singaporean badminton player. He competed at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games, where he captured a bronze medal in the mixed team and a silver medal in the men's doubles events in 2014. Originally a citizen of Indonesia, Chrisnanta officially became a Singaporean citizen starting from 2013.
