Choe Ryong-hae is a North Korean politician and military officer who is serving as President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and First Vice Chairman of the State Affairs Commission since April 2019. He is also a member of the Presidium of the Politburo and Vice Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). He also served as Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un's military second-in-command. He is also father in law of Kim Jong-un's sister Kim Yo-jong.

Syngman Rhee was a South Korean politician and dictator who served as the first President of South Korea, from 1948 to 1960. Rhee was also the first and last president of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea from 1919 to his impeachment in 1925 and from 1947 to 1948. As President of South Korea, Rhee's government was characterised by authoritarianism, limited economic development, and by the late 1950s growing political instability and public opposition. He imbued the country with a tradition of authoritarian rule that lasted, with a few short breaks, until 1988.

Kim Gu, also known by his pen name Baekbeom, was a Korean statesman politician. He was the sixth, ninth and later the last President of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, a leader of the Korean independence movement against the Japanese Empire, and a reunification activist after 1945. He was assassinated by Korean lieutenant Ahn Doo-hee in 1949.

Paik Too-chin or Baek Du-jin was a South Korean politician. He was acting prime minister until confirmed in office by the National Assembly on April 24, 1953, when he became the 4th Prime Minister of South Korea.
