Kristína Peláková, professionally known as Kristína, is a Slovak singer. She is best known for representing Slovakia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song “Horehronie”. The song placed 16th in the semi-final with a total of 24 points. Kristína is one of the most popular female artists in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and has toured both countries on multiple occasions.

Viera Tomanová is a Slovak politician, former Minister of Labour of Slovakia under Prime Minister Robert Fico. As a Minister she became known for her wild statements and many controversies, claiming her dog was poisoned in her house, prompting Prime Minister Fico to accuse Slovak journalists of the deed. She was popular among the elderly citizens for establishing "Christmas pensions", 13th state pensions issued out in December.

Barbara Nedeljáková is a Slovak actress who is best known for her role as Natalya in the 2005 horror film Hostel.

Monika Fašungová is a Slovak badminton player. She started playing badminton in 2001, and has join the national team in 2005. In 2009, she won her first national champion in the women's singles event. She competed for Slovakia at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Ľuboš Micheľ is a former top-level Slovak football referee who currently works External Advisor to the Football for PAOK FC.

Richard Raši is a Slovak physician and politician who served as Slovakia's Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Information. A member of the Voice – Social Democracy political party, Raši previously served as Mayor of the city of Košice. He also served from 3 June 2008 until 8 June 2010 as Minister of Health in the First cabinet of Robert Fico.

Milan Rastislav Štefánik was a Slovak politician, diplomat, aviator, Freemason, and astronomer. During World War I, he served at the same time as a general in the French Army and as Minister of War for Czechoslovakia. As one of the leading members of the Czechoslovak National Council, he contributed decisively to the cause of Czechoslovakian sovereignty, since the status of Czech- and Slovak-populated territories was one of those in question until shortly before the disintegration of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in 1918.

Zuzana Babiaková, née Paurová, is a Slovak former competitive figure skater. She is the 2003 Golden Spin of Zagreb champion, a two-time Ondrej Nepela Memorial champion (1998–99), and a nine-time Slovak national champion. She qualified for the free skate at seven European Championships, four World Championships, and the 2002 Winter Olympics, where she placed 21st.
