Dame Katherine Jane Grainger is a British former rower and current chair of UK Sport. With five Olympic medals she is Great Britain's most decorated female Olympian. She is a 2012 Summer Olympics gold medallist, four-time Olympic silver medallist and six-time World Champion. She served as Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University between 2015 and 2020, and is currently Chancellor of the University of Glasgow.

William Lyon Mackenzie was a Scottish-born Canadian-American journalist and politician. Growing up in Dundee, Scotland, he emigrated to York, Upper Canada, and became a publisher. He was elected to the 10th Parliament of Upper Canada as a legislator from York, allied with Reform legislators, and investigated members of the Family Compact and Tory politicians. His critiques of government administrators caused Mackenzie to be expelled from the legislature numerous times. He brought grievances from Upper Canada citizens to the Colonial Office in London, England, which caused the colonial secretary to propose reforms in the colony.

Thomas Henderson Docherty, commonly known as The Doc, was a Scottish football player and manager. Docherty played for several clubs, most notably Preston North End, and represented Scotland 25 times between 1951 and 1959. He then managed a total of 13 clubs between 1961 and 1988, as well as the Scottish national team. Docherty was manager of Manchester United between 1972 and 1977, during which time they were relegated to the Second Division, but promoted back to the First Division as champions at the first attempt.

Stephen Crawford Young Jr. is a Scottish musician, and the rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist for the Australian rock & roll band AC/DC. He joined the band in April 2014, to record the group's Rock or Bust album, but was not announced as an official member of the band until September of that year. He replaced his uncle, Malcolm Young who retired due to dementia. He had previously filled in for Malcolm on AC/DC's 1988 US tour.

John Leslie is a Scottish former television and radio presenter. Debuting on the Music Box channel in 1987, he later presented BBC One's Blue Peter, and ITV's This Morning and the gameshow Wheel of Fortune. He was also the studio host for the first series of the UK version of Survivor.

Pollyanna McIntosh is a Scottish American writer, director and actress known for her roles in films Exam (2009), The Woman (2011), Let Us Prey (2014), the first season of Joe R. Lansdale's Hap and Leonard (2016), a starring role in The Walking Dead (2017–2018), and social issue horror film Darlin' (2019) which she wrote, directed and starred in. McIntosh is currently filming her role as Queen Ælfgifu of Denmark in the upcoming Netflix TV series Vikings: Valhalla (2021).

Gillian McKeith is a Scottish television presenter, nutritionist and writer. She is the former host in the UK of Channel 4's You Are What You Eat and Granada Television's Dr Gillian McKeith's Feel Fab Forever, and as of 2010 presents Eat Yourself Sexy on the W Network in Canada. She is the author of several books about nutrition, including You Are What You Eat (2004), and Dr Gillian McKeith's Ultimate Health Plan (2006).

George Wilson "Doddie" Weir is a Scottish former rugby union player who played as a lock. He made 61 international appearances for the Scotland national team. He currently lives with his family on a farm which he bought in the Scottish Borders. The Doddie Weir Cup is named after him.

Kezia Alexandra Ross Dugdale is a Scottish politician who served as Leader of the Scottish Labour Party from 2015 to 2017. A former member of the Scottish Labour Party and Co-operative Party, she was a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Lothian region from 2011 to 2019.
