Wenceslaus I was the first Duke of Luxembourg from 1354. He was the son of John the Blind, King of Bohemia, and Beatrice of Bourbon.

Franziskus von Paula Graf von Schönborn was a Czech Roman Catholic cardinal. Born at Prague, he was 5th Bishop of České Budějovice (1883–1885) and 28th Archbishop of Prague, and was created Cardinal-Priest of Santi Giovanni e Paolo in 1889.

Dana Vávrová was a Czech-German film actress and director.

Jan Stallich (1907–1973) was a Czechoslovak cinematographer who worked in several European film industries including Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Spain as well as in his native country. He worked on over a hundred films during his career.

Margrave Otto V of Brandenburg-Salzwedel, nicknamed Otto the Tall, was a son of Margrave Otto III and co-ruler of Brandenburg with his cousin, Margrave Otto IV.
