Guo Jia (170–207), courtesy name Fengxiao, was an adviser to the warlord Cao Cao during the late Eastern Han dynasty of China. Throughout his 11 years of service, Guo Jia aided Cao Cao greatly with his brilliance and foresight, and his strategies were instrumental to Cao Cao's triumphs over rival warlords such as Lü Bu and Yuan Shao. For example, four years before Cao Cao's decisive victory over Yuan Shao at the Battle of Guandu, Guo Jia already foresaw that Cao Cao would win when he pointed out ten advantages Cao Cao had over Yuan Shao.

The Jingtai Emperor, born Zhu Qiyu, was the seventh Emperor of the Ming dynasty, reigned from 1449 to 1457. The second son of the Xuande Emperor, he was selected in 1449 to succeed his elder brother Emperor Yingzong of Ming, when the latter was captured by Mongols following the Tumu Crisis. He reigned for 8 years before being removed from the throne by his elder brother Emperor Yingzong of Ming. The Jingtai Emperor's era name, "Jingtai", means "Exalted View". He was the only emperor to not be buried in Royal Ming Dynasty Tomb.

Wu Sangui, courtesy name Changbai (長白) or Changbo (長伯), 1612 – 2 October 1678, was a Chinese military leader who played an instrumental role in the fall of the Ming dynasty and the establishment of the Qing dynasty in its place.

Wang Jianping is a former general of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China. He served as commander of the People's Armed Police and deputy chief of General Staff of the People's Liberation Army. He was dismissed in 2016 and placed under investigation for corruption. He was a member of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Ying Yong is a Chinese politician and the current Communist Party Secretary of Hubei, a position he has held since February 2020. He came to prominence beginning in 2003 in Zhejiang province, and served as the President of the provincial High Court. He served as the head of the Organization Department of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee before he became deputy party secretary of Shanghai. He became the mayor of Shanghai in January 2017. On February 12, 2020, Ying was appointed Party secretary of Hubei, replacing Jiang Chaoliang during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ping Hsin-tao or Ping Xintao was a Taiwanese publisher and producer. He founded Crown Magazine and Crown Publishing in 1954, which launched the careers of Chiung Yao and San Mao, two of Taiwan's most famous authors. He married Chiung Yao and produced films and television series based on her popular romance novels.

Xu Zhengxi, also known as Jeremy Tsui, Izz Xu, Jones Xu or Jeremy Jones Xu is a Chinese actor.

Huang Xuhua is a Chinese mechanical engineer and submarine designer, and was one of the chief designers for the country's first generation of nuclear submarines. He is director emeritus of the Wuhan-based 719 Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, and is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. His name was classified until 1987.

Luo Huining is a senior member of the Chinese Communist Party who is Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong. A native of Yiwu, Zhejiang, he was previously the Governor, then Party Secretary of Qinghai province before being appointed Party Secretary of Shanxi province.

Lao Tzu, also rendered as Laozi and Lao-Tze, was an ancient Chinese philosopher and writer. He is the reputed author of the Tao Te Ching, the founder of philosophical Taoism, and a deity in religious Taoism and traditional Chinese religions.
