Qian Weiping is a Chinese military scientist and a former major general in the People's Liberation Army (PLA). An expert in space tracking, telemetry and command, he served as President of Beijing Institute of Tracking and Telecommunications Technology and Deputy Director of the Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Commission. In July 2019, he was placed under investigation by the PLA's anti-corruption agency.

Wang Bi (226–249), courtesy name Fusi, was a Chinese neo-Daoist philosopher.

Ngawang Lobzang Jampel Tsultrim Gyatso or Tsultrim Gyatso was the 10th Dalai Lama of Tibet, and born in Chamdo. He was fully ordained in the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, studied the sutras and tantras, had several students, and rebuilt the Potala Palace.

Wang Xiaoyun is a Chinese cryptographer, mathematician, and computer scientist. She is a professor in the Department of Mathematics and System Science of Shandong University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Bao Zhao was an early medieval Chinese poet, writer, and official known for his shi poetry, fu rhapsodies, and parallel prose. Bao's best known surviving work is his "Fu on the Ruined City", a long fu rhapsody on the ruined city of Guangling.

Zhang Jun is a Chinese politician and former judge, serving currently as the Procurator-General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, and the Minister of Justice. He formerly served as Vice Minister of the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China and Vice President of the Supreme People's Court. Yuen Tai-yung is a Chinese artist best known for his Hong Kong movie posters. Dubbed "The Godfather of Hong Kong Movie Posters", he produced over 200 posters from the 1970s to 1990s that include notable films of Bruce Lee, the Hui Brothers, Karl Maka, Stephen Chow, Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung. His other works include advertisements, comic magazine covers, portraits, sketches, and satirical comics.

Tseng Chang was a Chinese American actor. He participated in the films Xiang xi shi Wang, Yu ya gon wu and 2012, with John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Amanda Peet and Thandie Newton.
