Tan Qiang is a Chinese badminton player. In 2015, he won the bronze medal at the Asia Junior Championships in the boys' doubles event partnered with Ren Xiangyu, and in 2016, won the silver medal partnered with He Jiting. In 2017, he became the runner-up at the China International Challenge tournament in the mixed doubles event partnered with Xu Ya.

Wu Yigong was a Chinese film director and producer.

Xue Yue was a Chinese Nationalist military general, nicknamed by Claire Lee Chennault of the Flying Tigers as the "Patton of Asia" and called the "God of War" (戰神) by the Chinese.

Wu Jingyu is a female Chinese Taekwondo practitioner who won gold medals at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics in the –49 kg class. She also won several medals at world championships and Asian Games.

Wan Chun Cheng or Zheng Wanjun was a Chinese botanist. Initially one of the Chinese plant collectors who followed in the wake of the Europeans after 1920, he became one of the world's leading authorities on the taxonomy of gymnosperms. Working at the National Central University in Nanjing, he was instrumental in the identification in 1944 of the dawn redwood, Metasequoia glyptostroboides previously known only from fossils. The plant Juniperus chengii is named in his honour.
