Li Wei
Li Wei was a prominent mandarin who lived during the reign of the Yongzheng Emperor (1722–1735) of the Qing Dynasty. He was instrumental in carrying out Yongzheng's nationwide reforms in his role in various regional governing positions.

Ai Baojun
Ai Baojun is a former Chinese politician. He was the Vice Mayor of Shanghai and the head administrator of the Shanghai Free-Trade Zone. On November 10, 2015, Ai was placed under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-corruption agency. He was the first provincial-ministerial level official from Shanghai being investigated after the 18th Party Congress in 2012. He is said to be close with Jiang Mianheng, son of former Chinese communist Party general secretary Jiang Zemin.

He was a Gold Medalist and First Prize winner of the Thirteenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2009, becoming one of the youngest winners in the history of the competition. Zhang received a 2017 Avery Fisher Career Grant in recognition of his outstanding talents.

Sun Jihai is a Chinese former footballer who played in the English Premier League. He is one of the most well-known footballers in China. He was the first East Asian footballer to score in the Premier League when he scored a goal for Manchester City in October 2002, and also the first Chinese footballer to score in the UEFA Cup. Sun was a member of the Chinese national team that qualified for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, the country's only appearance at the World Cup.

Chen Jining is a Chinese academic and politician. He is the current Mayor of Beijing. An environmental engineer by trade, Chen served as the President of Tsinghua University from 2012 to 2015 and Minister of Environmental Protection between 2015 and 2017.
