Wu Lien-teh, also known as Goh Lean Tuck and Ng Leen Tuck in Minnan and Cantonese transliteration respectively, was a Malaysian physician renowned for his work in public health and particularly, the Manchurian plague of 1910–11.

Abdullah bin Ahmad Badawi is a Malaysian politician who served as the 5th Prime Minister of Malaysia from 2003 to 2009. He was also the President of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), the largest political party in Malaysia, and led the governing Barisan Nasional parliamentary coalition. He is informally known as Pak Lah, Pak meaning 'Uncle', while Lah is taken from his name 'Abdullah'. He is also referred to as the "Father of Human Capital Development".

Low Taek Jho, often called Jho Low, is a Malaysian businessman and international fugitive sought by the authorities in Malaysia, Singapore, and the United States in connection with the 1MDB scandal. He is accused of being the mastermind of the massive fraud, which prosecutors allege was a scheme to siphon US$4.5 billion from 1MDB into Low's personal accounts. He is the beneficiary of numerous discretionary trust assets said by the US government to originate from payments out of the Malaysian 1MDB fund.

He is best known for his partnership with Goh Liu Ying where they have been consistently ranked among the top 10 mixed doubles pair in the world. Chan and Goh reached their career high ranking of world No. 3 in 2012 and won the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Dato' Seri Utama Karpal Singh s/o Ram Singh was an Indian Malaysian politician and lawyer. He was Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency of Bukit Gelugor in the state of Penang from 2004 to 2014. During that time, he was also the National Chairman of the Democratic Action Party (DAP).

Paduka Sri Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin Mukarram Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Zainal Rashid Al-Mu'adzam Shah I was the 24th Sultan of Kedah. He reigned from 1854 to 1879 and it was during this period that the new Balai Nobat consisting of a five-story building was built. The building was totally built of wood with zinc roofing.

Law Teik Hock was a Malaysian badminton player from George Town, Penang. He won the first edition of Thomas Cup with the Malayan team in 1949. In the final against Denmark, Law was promoted to first singles after Wong Peng Soon was forced to skip the final due to an injury. In his first singles, he defeated Jørn Skaarup 15-5, 15-0 but lost 15-11, 15-1 to Mogen Felsby in the reverse singles.
