Carlos Zorrinho
Carlos Zorrinho is a Portuguese politician and university professor. He has undertaken the positions of Secretary of State, leader of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group at the Portuguese Parliament, and is currently a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the S&D group.
Eugénio dos Santos
Eugénio dos Santos de Carvalho (1711–1760) was a Portuguese architect and military engineer, responsible for the planning and rebuilding of Lisbon's Pombaline Lower Town after the 1755 earthquake. Among other buildings he designed the Lisbon City Hall, which was destroyed by fire in 1863. He designed the Palacio do Grilo, palace of the Lafões family in Lisbon. His austere design for apartment buildings with retail at ground floor level are considered a precursor of functionalist urbanism.
João Silva
João Pedro Lopes da Silva is a Portuguese professional triathlete. He was European U-23 Champion in 2008, 2010 and 2011, National Junior Champion in 2006 and 2007 and the National U-23 Champion in 2008. At the 2012 Summer Olympics Silva placed 9th thus becoming the most decorated male triathlete in Portuguese history. On 23 January 2013, Silva joined S.L. Benfica's triathlon team. He won the silver medal at the 2015 European Games in Baku.
Joaquim Augusto Mouzinho de Albuquerque
Joaquim Augusto Mouzinho de Albuquerque was a Portuguese cavalry officer. He captured Gungunhana in Chaimite (1895) and pacified Mozambique. He was a grandson of Luís da Silva Mouzinho de Albuquerque.
