Henry de Vere Stacpoole was an Irish-British author, born in Ireland in Kingstown. His best-known work is the 1908 romance novel The Blue Lagoon, which has been adapted into multiple films. He published using his own name and sometimes the pseudonym Tyler de Saix.

Peter Rice was an Irish structural engineer. Born in Dublin, he grew up in 52 Castle Road, Dundalk in County Louth, and spent his childhood between the town of Dundalk, and the villages of Gyles' Quay and Inniskeen. He was educated at Queen's University of Belfast where he received his primary degree, and spent a year at Imperial College, London. Rice acted as Structural Engineer on three of the most important architectural works of the 20th century: the Sydney Opera House, Pompidou Centre and the Lloyd's Building and was renowned for his innate ability to act as both engineer and designer.

Charlotte Murphy is an Irish actress. She is best known for her role as Siobhán Delaney in the RTÉ drama series Love/Hate, for which she won Best TV Actress at the 2013 Irish Film and Television Award, and Best Actress in a Lead Role at the 2015 Irish Film and Television Awards. She won a further two IFTA awards in 2017, for Best Actress in a Supporting Role as Ann Gallagher in the BBC One drama series Happy Valley, and in 2018 for Best Actress in a Supporting Role as Jessie Eden in the BBC One historical crime drama series Peaky Blinders.

Cearbhall Ó Dálaigh was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician, judge and barrister who served as the fifth President of Ireland from December 1974 to October 1976. He served as a Judge of the European Court of Justice from 1973 to 1974, Chief Justice of Ireland from 1961 to 1973, a Judge of the Supreme Court from 1953 to 1973, and Attorney General of Ireland from 1946 to 1948 and from 1951 to 1953.

Charles Yelverton O'Connor,, was an Irish engineer who is best known for his work in Western Australia, especially the construction of Fremantle Harbour, thought to be impossible, and the Goldfields Water Supply Scheme.

Leslie Howard Talbot Cliff was a British pair skater who competed with his wife, Violet Cliff. The couple finished seventh at the 1936 Winter Olympics. That same year, they won the silver medal at the European Figure Skating Championships and the bronze at the World Figure Skating Championships. They won another bronze at the 1937 World Championships.

Kenneth Essex Edgeworth was an Army officer, engineer, economist and independent theoretical astronomer. He was born 26 February 1880 in Street, County Westmeath. Edgeworth is best known for proposing the existence of a disc of bodies beyond the orbit of Neptune in the 1930s. Observations later confirmed the existence of the Edgeworth-Kuiper belt in 1992. Today those distant solar system bodies including Pluto, Eris, and Makemake, are grouped into the Edgeworth-Kuiper belt, or Kuiper belt.

Anthony Patrick "Tony" Adams was an Irish film and theatrical producer.

Patrick Sarsfield was an Irish landowner and soldier of the seventeenth century noted for his role in the Irish Confederate Wars. He is best known as the father of Patrick Sarsfield, Earl of Lucan, and is sometimes referred to as Patrick Sarsfield the Elder because of this.
