Settimio Simonini was an Italian racing cyclist. He rode in the 1937 Tour de France. He also won the Giro dell'Appennino in 1936 and 1948, and finished in the top 10 overall in the Giro d'Italia three times.

Agostino Vallini is an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church. He has been a cardinal since 2006. From 2008 to 2017 he served as Vicar General of Rome. He is also the Archpriest emeritus of the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran.

Agostino Steuco (1497/1498–1548), Italian humanist, Old Testament scholar, Counter Reformation polemicist and antiquarian, was born at Gubbio in Umbria. He discoursed on the subject of perennial philosophy and coined the term philosophia perennis.
