Carlo Barabino was a prominent Italian architect of the Neoclassic period, active mainly in his native Genoa. He was a pupil of Giuseppe Barbieri. He designed the original Teatro Carlo Felice Opera House in Genoa; facade rebuilt after destruction in World War II. He also built the Palazzo Dell'Accademia in Genoa, and the facade of Santa Maria Assunta, Genoa (Carignano).

Carlo Vittorio Amedeo Delle Lanze (1712–1784) was an Italian clergyman, a Roman Catholic cardinal. In his youth, Delle Lanze was supposed to be close to Jansenism, but in his late life he was a supporter of Jesuit and part of the zelanti.

Carlo Rossetti (Roscetti) was an Italian Catholic Cardinal, born of the noble Rossetti family in Ferrara. Earlier in his career he went to London as a secret nuncio on behalf of Pope Urban VIII. While in London, he was addressed as Lord Charles Rossetti and was referred to as Prince Rossetti, using his title as Italian nobility for his cover, rather than as a representative of the Roman Catholic Church to avoid persecution.

Decio Carafa (1556–1626) was an Archbishop of Naples who had previously served as papal nuncio to the Spanish Netherlands (1606–1607) and to Habsburg Spain (1607–1611).

Carlo Perrier was an Italian mineralogist who did extensive research on the element technetium in 1936. He discovered the element along with his colleague, Emilio Segrè (1905-1989), in 1937.

Carlo Ninchi was an Italian film actor. He appeared in 128 films between 1931 and 1963. He was born in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, and died on 27 April 1974 in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
