Hamid Kohram was an Iranian politician and veterinarian who served as a member of the Iranian Parliament representing Ahwaz between 2000 and 2004. He was also the Director General of Scholarships Office and Student Exchange, Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

Edman Ayvazyan was an Iranian-Armenian painter. He was the first Iranian artist to join Royal Institute of Oil Painters.

Seyyed Jalaleddin Hosseini, commonly known as Jalal Hosseini, is an Iranian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back and captains Iranian club Persepolis. He has been a member of Iran's under-23 side as a wild card player on two occasions, in the 2006 and 2010 Asian Games, winning a bronze medal in 2006. Hosseini has represented Iran at the 2007 AFC Asian Cup, 2011 AFC Asian Cup, 2015 AFC Asian Cup, and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Sadeq Qotbzadeh was an Iranian politician who served as a close aide of Ayatollah Khomeini during his 1978 exile in France, and foreign minister during the Iran hostage crisis following the Iranian Revolution. In 1982, he was executed for allegedly plotting the assassination of Ayatollah Khomeini and the overthrow of the Islamic Republic.

Shaun Toub is an Iranian-born American actor. He is best known for his roles as Yinsen in Iron Man (2008) and Iron Man 3 (2013), Farhad in Crash (2004), Rahim Khan in The Kite Runner (2007), Majid Javadi in the Showtime TV series Homeland, and Faraz Kamali in Tehran (2020).
