Sixtinus Amama was a Dutch Reformed theologian and orientalist. Amama was among the first to advocate a thorough knowledge of the original languages of the Bible as indispensable to theologians.

Peter Stuyvesant served as the last Dutch director-general of the colony of New Netherland from 1647 until it was ceded provisionally to the English in 1664, after which it was split into New York and New Jersey with lesser territory becoming parts of other states. He was a major figure in the early history of New York City and his name has been given to various landmarks and points of interest throughout the city.

Adriaan van Maanen was a Dutch–American astronomer.

Willem van der Woude was a Dutch mathematician and rector magnificus (chancellor) of the University of Leiden.

Tjipke Visser was a Dutch sculptor. His work was part of the sculpture event in the art competition at the 1936 Summer Olympics. Visser's work was included in the 1939 exhibition and sale Onze Kunst van Heden at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
