José Cabanis was a French novelist, essayist, historian and magistrate. He was elected mainteneur of the Académie des Jeux floraux in 1965 and a member of the Académie française in 1990.

Antoine-Léonard de Chézy was a French orientalist, and one of a small group of the first scholars of Sanskrit.

Charles Orlando, Dauphin of France was the eldest son and heir of Charles VIII of France and Anne of Brittany.

François d'Andelot de Coligny was one of the leaders of French Protestantism during the French Wars of Religion. The son of Gaspard I de Coligny, he was the younger brother of Odet, cardinal de Châtillon and Gaspard de Coligny the admiral.

Raymond VII was Count of Toulouse, Duke of Narbonne and Marquis of Provence from 1222 until his death.

Jean Dollfus was a French industrialist who grew a textile company, Dollfus-Mieg et Compagnie (D.M.C.), in Mulhouse. Dollfus was a leading figure in a philanthropic society which constructed a company town that sold houses at cost to the town's workers. Dollfus also helped publish an encyclopedia of needlework.

Marie Catherine Vitalie Rimbaud née Cuif, was better known simply as Vitalie Rimbaud, and was the mother of the visionary poet, Arthur Rimbaud. She was born on 10 March 1825 and died on 16 November 1907. She met Captain Frédéric Rimbaud (1814-1878), a French infantry officer, in October 1852 and married him the following February. They had five children:
