Jörg Widmann is a German composer, conductor and clarinetist. In 2018, Widmann was the third most performed contemporary composer. Formerly a clarinet and composition professor at the University of Music Freiburg, he is composition professor at the Barenboim–Said Akademie.

Willy Sachs was a German industrialist. He served the Third Reich as Obersturmbannführer and Wehrwirtschaftsführer and was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit after the Second World War. Sachs was an honorary citizen of Schweinfurt, Mainberg and Oberaudorf.

Maxi Herber was a German figure skater who competed in pair skating and single skating. She is the youngest figure skating Olympic champion when she won gold in pair skating together with Ernst Baier at the 1936 Winter Olympics. The duo revolutionized pair skating, becoming the first team to perform jumps side by side.
