Jawad Ali
Jawad Ali (1907–1987) was an Iraqi historian and academic specializing in Islamic and Arabic history. He received his doctorate from Hamburg University in 1939 and is known for his book The history of the Arabs before Islam which became one of most referenced works on the history of Arabs before Islam. Jawad Ali worked in the Department of History at the Faculty of Education at the University of Baghdad beginning in the 1950s.
Mowaffak al-Rubaie
Dr. Mowaffak Baker al-Rubaie is an Iraqi politician, and was Iraq National Security Advisor in the government of PM Ayad Allawi and in 2005-2006 PM Ibrahim Al Jaafari and 2006-2009 Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. He was elected to the Iraqi Council of Representatives in December 2005 as a nominee of the United Iraqi Alliance and from 2014-2018 in the Iraqi Parliament.
Baha Araji
Bahaa Araji is an Iraqi politician, who was a member of the Iraqi National Assembly until 2014. He served as Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs from September 2014 to August 2015. He is a spokesman for the United Iraqi Alliance and a member of the Sadrist Movement which is led by Muqtada as-Sadr. He was succeeded as the head of the Ahrar bloc in parliament by Dia al-Asadi.
