He is renowned for his sometimes provocative cartoons featuring violent and sexual imagery on political topics. He is the winner of the 2000 Stripschapprijs. and of the 2013 Grand Prix de la ville d'Angoulême.

Go Youn-ha, better known by the mononym Younha, is a South Korean singer-songwriter and record producer. She began her career in 2004 in Japan, where she was nicknamed the "Oricon Comet" for her success on the Japanese music chart. In 2006, she debuted in South Korea, where she is regarded as one of the country's best singer-songwriters.

Adriana Samuel Ramos is a Brazilian volleyball and beach volleyball player, who won the silver medal in the inaugural women's beach volleyball tournament at the 1996 Summer Olympics, partnering Mônica Rodrigues.

Kristin Linklater was a Scottish vocal coach, acting teacher, actor, theatre director, and author. She retired from the Theatre Arts Division of Columbia University where she was professor emerita. She taught residential courses in Orkney. Kristin Linklater died on 5 June 2020, aged 84, at her home, Housegarth, Quoyloo, Orkney.
