Jorge Sayed Picciani was a Brazilian cattle rancher and politician, affiliated with the Brazilian Democratic Movement (MDB). He was preventively arrested at the José Frederico Marques Public Prison, in Benfica, where he was later released by the Federal Supreme Court for house arrest.

Livia Turco is an Italian politician, member of the Democratic Party. She was a member of parliament between 1987–2013. Turco was Minister of Social Affairs in three governments between 1996–2001, and Minister of Health between 2006–2008.

Andrew Eben Strominger is an American theoretical physicist who is the director of Harvard's Center for the Fundamental Laws of Nature. He has made significant contributions to quantum gravity and string theory. These include his work on Calabi–Yau compactification and topology change in string theory, and on the stringy origin of black hole entropy. He is a senior fellow at the Society of Fellows, and is the Gwill E. York Professor of Physics.

Valdis Zatlers is a Latvian politician and former physician who served as the seventh president of Latvia from 2007 to 2011. He won the Latvian presidential election of 31 May 2007. He became President of Latvia on 8 July 2007 and left office on 7 July 2011 after failing to win reelection for a second term.
