Alexander Schmorell was a Russian-German student at Munich University who, with five others, formed a resistance group known as White Rose which was active against the Nazi German regime from June 1942 to February 1943. In 2012, he was glorified as a saint and passion bearer by the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia.

Ilse Paula Steppat was a German actress. Her husband was noted actor and director Max Nosseck.

Song Ping is a Chinese Communist revolutionary and a retired high-ranking politician. He was a member of the CPC Politburo Standing Committee, which effectively rules China, and is considered the only living member of the Second Generation of Chinese Leadership.

Leo Bernard Gorcey was an American stage and film actor, famous for portraying the leader of a group of hooligans known variously as the Dead End Kids, The East Side Kids, and, as adults, The Bowery Boys. Gorcey was famous for his use of malapropisms, such as "I depreciate it!" instead of "I appreciate it!"

She was arrested and executed in Kraków shortly before the end of World War II.

Zheng Pingru was a Chinese socialite and spy who gathered intelligence on the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War. She was executed after an unsuccessful attempt to assassinate Ding Mocun, the security chief of the Japanese puppet government. Her life is believed to be the inspiration for Eileen Chang's novella Lust, Caution, which was later adapted into the eponymous 2007 film by Ang Lee.

Alice Pearce was an American actress. She was brought to Hollywood by Gene Kelly to reprise her Broadway performance in the film version of On the Town (1949). Pearce played comedic supporting roles in several films, before being cast as nosy neighbor Gladys Kravitz in the television sitcom Bewitched in 1964. She won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series posthumously after the second season of the series. She died from ovarian cancer in 1966.

Karl-Günther von Hase is a former German diplomat and Secretary of State. He also served as Director General (Intendant) of the ZDF, the German public-service television broadcaster. Hase served as spokesman of the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government and as ambassador in London.
