Brigadier General Henry Alfred Byroade, of Indiana was an American career diplomat. Over the course of his career, he served as the American ambassador to Egypt (1955–1956), South Africa (1956–1959), Afghanistan (1959–1962), Burma (1963–1968), Philippines (1969–1973), and Pakistan (1973–1977).

Gerald Allan "Jerry" Sohl Sr. was an American television scriptwriter and science fiction author who wrote for The Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Outer Limits, Star Trek: The Original Series, and other shows. He wrote more than twenty novels as well as feature film scripts. He also wrote the nonfiction works Underhanded Chess and Underhanded Bridge in 1973.

John Nichol Irwin II was an American diplomat and attorney during the Cold War. During World War II, he served in the Army in the Pacific as a member of General Douglas MacArthur's staff and reached the rank of lieutenant colonel.
