He is known for the killing of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat, where he was charged with premeditated murder, which carries the death penalty or life imprisonment alongside the help of his wife, Putri Candrawati, and three of his police adjutants. He was dishonorably discharged on 27 August 2022 following an investigation from the Indonesian Police Ethics committee.
