Bankim Chandra Chatterjee or Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, CBE CIE was an Indian novelist, poet and journalist. Chattopadhyay wrote thirteen novels and many serious, serio-comic, satirical, scientific and critical treatises in Bengali.
