Otto VIII, Count of Bavaria was Count Palatine of Bavaria from 1189 to 1209.

Sophia of Wittelsbach (1170–1238) was a daughter of Otto I Wittelsbach, who was Count Palatine and later Duke of Bavaria, and his wife Agnes of Loon.

Otto V, Count of Wittelsbach, also called Otto IV, Count of Scheyern, was the second son of Eckhard I, Count of Scheyern. Otto named himself Otto of Wittelsbach, after Wittelsbach Castle near Aichach. He served Henry V, Holy Roman Emperor, in his first Italian Expedition in 1110–1111. Emperor Henry V already addressed him as Otto Count of "Witlinesbac" in a document in 1115. From 1120 onwards, he was Count palatine of Bavaria.

Otto II of Bavaria known as Otto the Illustrious was the Duke of Bavaria and Count Palatine of the Rhine. He was the son of Louis I and Ludmilla of Bohemia and a member of the Wittelsbach dynasty.

Conrad of Wittelsbach was the Archbishop of Mainz and Archchancellor of Germany from 20 June 1161 to 1165 and again from 1183 to his death. He was also a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Hellicha of Wittelsbach, was Duchess consort of Bohemia from 1189 to 1198, married to Duke Conrad II.
