Gian Carlo Vacchelli Corbetto was a Peruvian sports commentator and politician. Nicknamed El Angelito, meaning "the little angel", he presented the sports program El ángel del deporte (2008–09) on RBC Televisión. Between 2011 and 2016, Vacchelli was a Force 2011 member of the Congress of the Republic of Peru for the district of Lima. He stood for re-election in 2016 but lost his seat.

Piergiuseppe Vacchelli is the current Adjunct Secretary Emeritus of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and President of the Pontifical Missionary Societies since his retirement was accepted by Pope Benedict XVI on 26 June 2012. He previously served as Under-Secretary of the Italian Episcopal Conference and Chairman of its Charitable Assistance for the Third World.
