Hassan ibn Thabit was an Arabian poet and one of the Sahaba, or companions of Muhammad, hence he was best known for his poems in defense of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.

Asim ibn Thabit was one of the Ansar, a person belonging to one of the first generations of Muslims and who helped Muhammad after his migration to Medina.

According to Islamic traditions, Zayd bin Thabit was the personal scribe of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, and was from the ansar (helpers). He joined the ranks of the Muslim army at age 19. After Muhammad's passing, he was ordered to collect the Quran into a single volume from various written and oral sources. He was a noted expert on the Quran and spent much time reciting it.

Safwan Thabet is an Egyptian businessman, and founder of the diary company Juhayna Food Industries. Safwan Thabet is the grandson of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood's second leader Hassan al-Hudaybi, who led the group during the Nasser era (1951-173) and nephew of Ma'mun al-Hudaybi, the Sixth General Guide of the brotherhood between 2002 and 2004. Thabet has had his assets frozen by the Egyptian courts since 2015 and was arrested in December 2020 on accusations of funding a terrorist group. The Egyptian public prosecution estimated his assets in 2015 to be around seven billion Egyptian pounds, roughly equaling US$900 million at the time. After his arrest, his son Seif started managing the company, before being arrested too in February 2021. Despite his arrest, Thabet and his family were able to still remain in control of the diary company through a convoluted schema of ownership and internal net of employees all affiliated to the family.
