In Dec 2019, he established a new South Asian Games record in Javelin throw with a distance of 86.29 m, thus securing direct qualification to 2020 Summer Olympics, where he qualified directly to the finals of javelin throw competition on 4 August, 2021. He was among best three in the qualification round.
