Amyntas I was king of the ancient kingdom of Macedon and then a vassal of Darius I from 512/511 to his death 498 BC, at the time of Achaemenid Macedonia. He was a son of Alcetas I of Macedon. He married Eurydice and they had a son Alexander.

Eurydice, born Cleopatra was a mid-4th century BC Macedonian noblewoman, niece of Attalus, and last of the seven wives of Philip II of Macedon, but the first with a Macedonian woman.

Pausanias of Macedon was the son and successor of Aeropus II of Macedon in the Argead dynasty of Macedon. He was assassinated in 394 BCE, the year of his accession, by Amyntas III, who then succeeded him as King of Macedon.

Alcetas I of Macedon was a son of Aeropus I of Macedon and the 8th king of the ancient kingdom of Μacedon, counting from Karanus, and the 5th, counting from Perdiccas, reigning, according to Eusebius, 29 years. He was the father of Amyntas I, who reigned in the latter part of the 6th century BC.

Amyntas II or Amyntas the Little, was the king of Macedonia for a short time, circa 393 BC. Thucydides describes him as a son of Philip, the brother of king Perdiccas II. He first succeeded his father in his appanage in Upper Macedonia, but Perdiccas II wished to deprive Amyntas of the appanage, as he had before endeavoured to wrest it from Philip. This project had however been hindered by the Athenians.

Orestes of Macedon was the son of Archelaus I and succeeded in his minority as king after his father was slain. He reigned between 399–396 BC under his guardian Aeropus II, who killed him. Aeropus thereafter reigned alone until 394 BC.

Aeropus I of Macedon was the son of Philip I, the great-grandson of Perdiccas I, the first king of the ancient kingdom of Macedon according to Herodotus, and the father of Alcetas.

Philip I of Macedon was one of the early kings of Macedon. He was a member of the Argead dynasty and son of Argaeus I, becoming king upon his father's death.
