Jeongjo of Joseon was the 22nd ruler of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea. He made various attempts to reform and improve the nation of Korea. He succeeded his grandfather King Yeongjo and succeeded by his son King Sunjo.

Cheoljong of Joseon was the 25th king of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea. He was a second cousin to the heirless Heonjong of Joseon, as well as a great-great grandson of Yeongjo of Joseon.

Gwanghae-gun or Prince Gwanghae was the fifteenth king of the Joseon dynasty. His personal name was Yi Hon. As he was deposed in a coup d'état, later official historians did not give him a temple name like Taejo or Sejong.

Yeongjo of Joseon was the 21st king of the Korean Joseon Dynasty. He was the second son of King Sukjong. His mother was Consort Suk of the Choi clan. Before ascending to power, he held the title of Prince Yeoning. In 1720, a few months after the accession of his older brother, King Gyeongjong as the 20th King, Yeoning became the Royal Prince Successor Brother. This induced a large controversy between political factions. Nevertheless, four years later, at the death of Gyeongjong, Yeongjo ascended the throne.

Injo of Joseon was the sixteenth king of the Joseon dynasty in Korea. He was the grandson of Seonjo and son of Grand Prince Jeongwon (정원군). King Injo was king during both the first and second Manchu invasions, which ended with the surrender of Joseon to the Qing dynasty in 1636.

Yeonsan-gun or Prince Yeonsan born Yi Yung, was the 10th king of Korea's Joseon Dynasty. He was the eldest son of King Seongjong by his second wife, Deposed Queen Yun. He is often considered the worst tyrant of the Joseon Dynasty, and perhaps all of Korean history, notorious for launching two bloody purges of the seonbi scholar elite. He also seized a thousand women from the provinces to serve as palace entertainers, and appropriated the Seonggyungwan study hall as a personal pleasure ground. As a much-despised overthrown monarch, Yeonsan-gun did not receive a temple name.

Jungjong of Joseon, born Yi Yeok or Lee Yeok, ruled during the 16th century in what is now Korea. He succeeded his half-brother, Yeonsangun, because of the latter's tyrannical misrule, which culminated in a coup placing Jungjong on the throne.

Sunjo of Joseon was the 23rd king of the Korean Joseon Dynasty. He was born with the title of His Royal Highness Prince Yi Gong. Sunjo was the 2nd son of King Jeongjo which King Jeongjo had with Lady Subin, one of King Jeongjo's concubines.

Sukjong of Joseon was the 19th king of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea from 1674 to 1720. A skilled politician, he caused multiple changes of political alliance throughout his reign, switching among the Southerner, Westerner, Soron, and Noron political factions.

Taejong of Joseon was the third king of the Joseon dynasty in Korea and the father of King Sejong the Great.
