Justin Edward Fairfax is an American politician and lawyer who has been serving since 2018 as the 41st Lieutenant Governor of Virginia. A member of the Democratic Party, he is the second African American elected statewide in Virginia, following Douglas Wilder.

Mary Elizabeth Fairfax, was a Polish-born Australian businesswoman and philanthropist. As the third wife of wealthy media proprietor Sir Warwick Fairfax, she became known as Lady Fairfax upon his knighthood in 1967. She inherited most of his vast fortune upon his death in January 1987, becoming one of Australia's richest women.

He was created Viscount Fairfax in the Peerage of Ireland in 1629. He "erected a mansion on Bishophill (York) early in Elizabeth's reign".

Sir Thomas Fairfax was an owner of Gilling Castle, near Gilling East, North Riding of Yorkshire, England.
