He is known for his athleticism, quick reactions and outstanding shot-stopping ability. Having spent the majority of his career at Real Madrid, Casillas is one of the few players to achieve over 1000 professional career matches, and holds the record for the most clean sheets in the UEFA Champions League, as well as for the Spain national team.

Miriam Casillas García is a Spanish triathlete. She competed in the women's event at the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2021, she competed in the women's event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She also competed in the mixed relay event.

Mauricio Casillas Caballero is a Mexican male badminton player. In 2015, he represented IBM Mexico competed at the World Corporate Games in Mexico City, and won the men's singles and doubles event.
