Matthew Paris, also known as Matthew of Paris, was an English Benedictine monk, chronicler, artist in illuminated manuscripts and cartographer, based at St Albans Abbey in Hertfordshire. He wrote a number of works, mostly historical, which he scribed and illuminated himself, typically in drawings partly coloured with watercolour washes, sometimes called "tinted drawings". Some were written in Latin, some in Anglo-Norman or French verse.

Émile Lombard (Liège) was a Belgian professional road bicycle racer, who raced the 1904 Tour de France. During the race, after the second stage, Lombard was in 4th place. Because that year's race was filled with disqualifications because riders were accused of taking trains, in November 1904 it was decided that several players were disqualified, including the three cyclists that were standing above Lombard after the second stage, and as a result Lombard had been leading the general classification for one day.

Sam Mercer is a producer of many Hollywood films, including several projects directed by M. Night Shyamalan such as Signs, Lady in the Water and Unbreakable, as well as other films like Van Helsing and Things We Lost in the Fire. His career started during the early 1980s as a location manager and later advanced to a producer and executive producer. He also produced the M. Night Shyamalan films The Happening and The Last Airbender.

Hans Schmeisser is a German weapons technical designer. The son of Louis Schmeisser, who was also a famous weapons technical designer, his notable achievement is his contribution to the construction of the German "weapon city" of Suhl.

Wigger I was the father of a line of counts ruling from his new castle of Bilstein, west of Albungen to the Werra. The counts of Bilstein played a prominent role in Thuringia from 967 to 1301 and were third after the Ekkehardinger and Weimar-Orlamünde in terms of power and influence.

Dramalı Mahmud Pasha,(Turkish Mahmut Pasha}}), c. 1770 in Istanbul – 26 October 1822 in Corinth) was an Ottoman statesman and military leader, and a pasha, and served as governor (wali) of Larissa, Drama, and the Morea. In 1822, he was tasked with suppressing the Greek War of Independence, but was defeated at the Battle of Dervenakia and died shortly after.

Jakob Ulvsson was Archbishop of Uppsala, Primate of the Roman Catholic Church of Sweden 1469–1515 and the founder of Uppsala University in 1477.
