Erik Staffan Olsson is a retired Swedish handball player and Swedish national coach. Olsson, who always played with no 13, was a left-handed right wing player with one of the most feared shots of all the elite players. Later in his career he won praise for his great playmaking skills.

Elsa Viveca Torstensdotter Lindfors was a Swedish-born American stage, film and television actress. She was an Emmy Award winner and received the Silver Bear for Best Actress.

Åsa Larsson is a Swedish crime-fiction writer. Although born in Uppsala, she was raised in Kiruna in the far north. Prior to becoming a full-time writer, Larsson was a tax lawyer, a profession she shares with the heroine of her novels, Rebecka Martinsson. Her first Rebecka Martinsson novel, Solstorm, was awarded the Swedish Crime Writers' Association prize for best first novel. It was published in the UK and was shortlisted for the Duncan Lawrie International Dagger. Her second Rebecka Martinsson novel, Det blod som spillts, won the Best Swedish Crime Novel Award. Till offer åt Molok, her fifth Rebecka Martinsson novel also won the Best Swedish Crime Novel Award. Her books and characters serve as the basis for the internationally successful TV series Rebecka Martinsson.

Angela Anna Margareta Kovács is a Swedish with Hungarian descent, as her family name indicates. She studied at the Gothenburg Theatre Academy from 1987 until 1990. She then began her career as a stage actress, working at the Gothenburg City Theatre, the Helsingborg City Theater, and the Royal Dramatic Theatre. She began her film career in 2001 in Hans och hennes by Daniel Lind Lagerlöf. From 2005 to 2007 she played Ann-Britt Höglund in the Wallander series of television films based on the eponymous novels. More recently she has been seen as Irene Huss in a television series by that name based on the novels of Helene Tursten.

Hillevi Rombin Schine was a Swedish actress and beauty queen who was crowned as Miss Sweden and is the fourth winner of Miss Universe in 1955. She was crowned Miss Sweden Universe 1955 by Miss Sweden Universe 1954, Ragnhild Olausson. In 1996, she became the first Miss Universe title holder to die.

Amanda Sofia Margareta Lind is a politician for the Swedish Green Party. Since 2019, she has been the Minister for Culture and Democracy, with responsibility for sport and national minorities in the cabinet of Prime Minister Stefan Löfven.

Princess Christina Ingesdotter of Sweden was a Swedish princess and a princess consort of Veliky Novgorod, Rostov and Belgorod, by marriage to Grand Prince Mstislav I of Kiev.

Maria Lovisa Åhrberg or Årberg, was a Swedish surgeon and doctor. She was lawfully practicing surgeon long before it became formally permitted for women to study medicine at a university in 1870. Lovisa Åhrberg could be regarded as the first female physician in Sweden with formal permit from the authorities to practice medicine: however, she had no formal training, and the first woman physician with a university degree was to be Karolina Widerström.

Count Gustav Horn af Björneborg was a Finnish nobleman of the Swedish Empire, military officer, and Governor-General. He was appointed member of the Royal Council in 1625, Field Marshal in 1628, Governor General of Livonia in 1652 and Lord High Constable since 1653. In the Thirty Years' War (1618–1648), he was instrumental as a commander in securing victory at the Battle of Breitenfeld, in 1631. He was High Councillor of the realm in 1625, elevated to the rank of field marshal in 1628, and sometimes commander-in-chief of Swedish forces in Germany during Thirty Years' War. After the war, he served as Governor-General of Livonia 1652, President of War department and Lord High Constable in 1653. In 1651, Queen Christina created him Count of Björneborg.

Olof Celsius was a Swedish botanist, philologist and clergyman, He was a professor at Uppsala University, Sweden. Celsius was a mentor of the botanist and scientist Carl Linnaeus. Celsius wrote his most famous book on biblical plants, Hierobotanicon, in 1745–47.
