He spent most of his career at Barcelona, where he served as the captain for three seasons. Iniesta is widely considered to be one of the best players of his generation and one of the greatest midfielders of all time.

Ana María "Anne" Hidalgo Aleu is a French-Spanish politician serving as Mayor of Paris since 2014. A member of the Socialist Party (PS), she is the first woman to hold the office.

Rafael Benítez Maudes is a Spanish professional football manager and former player and a manager who recently managed Chinese Super League club Dalian Professional. He joined Real Madrid's coaching staff at the age of 26, going on to work as the under-19 and reserve team coach, and assistant manager for the senior team. He moved away from Real Madrid in 1995, but management spells at Real Valladolid and Osasuna were short-lived and unsuccessful. He guided Segunda División side Extremadura back to the Primera División in his first season in 1997, but the team was relegated the following season. He left the club, and coached Tenerife in 2000, winning promotion in his only season.

Pau Gasol Sáez is a Spanish professional basketball player who last played for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is a six-time NBA All-Star and a four-time All-NBA team selection, twice on the second team and twice on the third team. Gasol has won two NBA championships, both with the Los Angeles Lakers back-to-back in 2009 and 2010. He was the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2002 with the Memphis Grizzlies, being the first non-American player to have won that award. He is the older brother of fellow NBA player Marc Gasol.
