Max Arwed Roßbach was a German historicist architect in the late 19th century.

Kurt Gerstenberg was a German art historian, a pupil of Heinrich Wölfflin. Gerstenberg's 1913 work Deutsche Sondergotik gave the name to Sondergotik, a style of Late Gothic architecture.

Thomas Schönlebe is a retired East German track and field athlete who competed in the 400 metres. He won the gold medal at the 1987 World Championships. In that race, he set a European record of 44.33 seconds which still stands.

Bruno Ziener was a German stage and film actor and director. He appeared in over 100 films between 1913 and 1941. He also directed 28 silent films such as The Flight into Death (1921).

Karl Gottfried Maeser was a prominent Utah educator and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served 16 years as principal of Brigham Young Academy. Although he was not the first principal of the Academy, he is considered its founder. The Academy later became Brigham Young University (BYU) in 1903.
