Mirza Taghi Khan Farahani, better known as Amir Kabir, also known by the titles of Atabak and Amir-e Nezam was chief minister to Naser al-Din Shah Qajar for the first three years of his reign. He is widely considered to be "Iran's first reformer", a modernizer who was "unjustly struck down" as he attempted to bring "gradual reform" to Iran. As the prime minister, he also ordered the killing of many Babis and the execution of the founder of the movement, the Báb. In the last years of his life he was exiled to Fin Garden in Kashan and was murdered by command of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar on January 10, 1852.

Reza Sayed Badiyi also known as Reza Badiei was an Iranian-American film director. Badiyi also directed episodes of many popular television series. His credits also include developing the opening montages for Hawaii Five-O, Get Smart, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Hossein Askari is an Iranian former professional racing cyclist, who competed professionally between 2005 and 2016 for the Giant Asia Racing Team, Tabriz Petrochemical Team, Ayandeh Continental Team and Pishgaman–Giant teams. During his career, Askari was suspended for one year for doping in 2013 and 2014.
