Vincenzo Lauro (1523–1592) was an Italian papal diplomat, bishop of Mondovì, and Cardinal from 1583.

Andrea del Castagno or Andrea di Bartolo di Bargilla was an Italian painter from Florence, influenced chiefly by Masaccio and Giotto di Bondone. His works include frescoes in Sant'Apollonia in Florence and the painted equestrian monument of Niccolò da Tolentino (1456) in the Cathedral in Florence. He in turn influenced the Ferrarese school of Cosmè Tura, Francesco del Cossa and Ercole de' Roberti.

The oldest Italian ever was Emma Morano, who was also the last living person born before the year 1900. She died on 15 April 2017, aged 117 years and 137 days.

Aldo De Benedetti was an Italian screenwriter. He wrote for 118 films between 1920 and 1958. He was born and died in Rome, Italy.

Ermenegildo Pellegrinetti was an Italian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church who served as Nuncio to Yugoslavia from 1922 to 1937, and was made a cardinal in 1937.

Francesco Moricotti Prignani (Prignano) was an Italian bishop and Cardinal. A cardinal-nephew, he was created Cardinal in 1378 by his uncle Pope Urban VI.

Achille Manara was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who became a bishop in 1879, a cardinal in 1895, and an archbishop in 1904.
