Ezekiel Nana "Ziggy" Ansah is a Ghanaian professional American football defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). Born in Accra, Ghana, he moved to the United States to attend Brigham Young University, where he played college football for the Brigham Young Cougars. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions fifth overall in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Maame Biney is an American short track speed skater who competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.

Abedi Ayew, known professionally as Abedi Pele, is a Ghanaian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder and who served as captain of the Ghana national team. He is regarded as one of the greatest African footballers of all time. He played for several European clubs and found his fame in the French Ligue 1 with Lille and Marseille, the latter where he won the UEFA Champions League in 1993, among other titles. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of his generation.

Joshua Buatsi is a British professional boxer who held the British light-heavyweight title in 2019. As an amateur, he won a bronze medal in the light-heavyweight division at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Robert Guy Bathurst is an English actor. Bathurst was born in Gold Coast in 1957, where his father was working as a management consultant. In 1959 his family moved to Ballybrack, Dublin, Ireland and Bathurst attended school in Killiney and later was enrolled at Headfort, an Irish boarding school. In 1966, the family moved to England and Bathurst transferred to Worth School in Sussex, where he took up amateur dramatics. At the age of 18, he read law at Pembroke College, Cambridge and joined the Cambridge Footlights group. After graduating, he took up acting full-time.

Kweku Adoboli is a Ghanaian investment manager and former stock trader. He was convicted of illegally trading away US$2 billion (GB£1.3 billion) as a trader for Swiss investment bank UBS. While at the bank he primarily worked on UBS' Global Synthetic Equities Trading team in London where he engaged in what would later be known as the 2011 UBS rogue trader scandal. After serving a prison sentence, he lost several appeals against the Home Office decision to deport him to Ghana.

His 1996 self-titled debut album was certified Platinum in Poland and Gold in Germany and Switzerland. The album spawned the 1997 hit single, "Lonely", which reached number-one in Germany and Switzerland, and was certified Platinum in Germany.
