Christine Ann Buchholz is a German politician and a member of the Bundestag, elected in 2009 as a member of Die Linke. A progressive activist, Bucholz is a member of Marx21, a network of revolutionary socialists within the Die Linke broadly aligned with the International Socialist Tendency.

Josef Wirsching sometimes credited as Joseph Wirsching, was a German cinematographer, who became a pioneer in cinematography in India and who contributed to the heritage of Cinema of India and still photography in its improvement into a scientific art of expression. His association with Indian cinema started in 1925, when he worked with another German, Franz Osten, in the Indo-European collaboration, The Light of Asia. Thereafter he settled in India, went on to work in over 20 films with Bombay Talkies and subsequently with Kamal Amrohi in Mahal (1949), Dil Apna Aur Preet Parayi (1960) and his masterpiece Pakeezah (1972), though he died while it was still under production.

Daniel Becke, is a former road bicycle and track cyclist from Germany, who was born in the former East Germany. He won a gold medal in the team pursuit at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He was decorated on Febr. 2. 2001 by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany (in German:Präsident der Bundesrepublik Deutschland) for winning the gold medal during the Olympic Games 2000. He retired in 2008.
