Suad Abdullah Salem Al-Abd is a Kuwaiti actress. She began her career in 1963 as a child on stage. She was born in Basra, and is of Iraqi origin.

Badr Shakir al Sayyab was a leading Iraqi poet, well known throughout the Arab world and one of the most influential Arab poets of all time. His works have been translated in more than 10 languages including English, Persian, Somali and Urdu.

Ahmed Mattar is a revolutionary Iraqi poet who has been living in exile for decades, most recently in London.

Sa'ad Rashed Mohammad al-Faqih, also known as Sa'ad Al-Fagih, is a Muslim Saudi national and former surgeon who heads the Movement for Islamic Reform in Arabia (MIRA). He lives in London. He was a key player in preparing the “Letter of Demands” of 1991 and the "Memorandum of Advice" the following year. Both documents were endorsed by a considerable number of prominent figures, including Sheikh Bin Baz, Al-Uthaymeen and Salman Al-Ouda, and were then presented to the king at the time Fahd. In 1994, the Committee for the Defense of Legitimate Rights was established and Al-Faqeeh was appointed as the head of its London office, with another Saudi dissident Mohammad al-Massari as the spokesperson. The two separated, and al-Faqih went on to set up MIRA in 1996.

Saadi Youssef is an Iraqi author, poet, journalist, publisher, and political activist. He has published thirty volumes of poetry in addition to seven books of prose.

Hanaa Edwar is an Iraqi women's rights activist. She is the founder and general secretary of Iraqi Al-Amal Association, and co-founder of the Iraqi Women's Network.

Rahma Abdulredha Mezher Al-Sibahi, better known as Rahma Riad, is an Iraqi singer and actress. Her father, Abdulredha Mezher Al-Sibahi, better known as Riad Ahmed, was a well known singer from Iraq. As of August 2020, her song "Waed Menni" is among the top ten most streamed songs on YouTube by a female Arab artist with more than 148 million views.

Ahmed Alhasan, full name Ahmed bin Ismail bin Saleh bin Hussain bin Salman is the leader of the Shia Iraqi movement Ansar of Imam al-Mahdi who claims to be the savior of mankind. His followers believe him to be al-Yamani, the eschatological leader from Yemen who will precede the return of the Imam, although this is not a mainstream belief in Shia Islam. He has written some books, and answers questions posed to him by his followers on his website.
